Jo, The owner of LuxeCakes & Artisan Bakes is a highly skilled cake artist, was born in London and spent her early years in the city before moving to Kent at the age of six.

It was in Kent where her passion for cake artistry began to blossom.

Jo's cake making journey took off after she attended a course led by the renowned Eric Lanlard, famously known as the "Cake Maker to the Stars." This experience ignited her passion and motivated her to pursue formal training, where she earned her PME Masters in 2003.
​
Jo’s commitment to refining her craft continues as she currently trains in patisserie and confectionery at Westminster College in London.
​
Jo specialises in designing and crafting bespoke wedding cakes, collaborating closely with brides and grooms to bring their unique cake visions to life., additionally, she offers expert craftsmanship in creating personalised cake toppers for couples, ensuring every detail reflects their individual style.

She provides a full service experience, beginning with a wedding cake consultation and tasting session, where couples can sample six different cake flavours.
​
Jo then works with them on creating detailed sketches, offering guidance on flavours, design elements and budget considerations.
​
Her goal is to craft a cake that not only complements the couple’s wedding theme but also enhances the overall atmosphere of their special day.

Whether it’s a traditional or themed cake, Jo ensures each creation is a custom masterpiece, delivering and setting up the wedding cake with great care.

Jo offers a 2-hour wedding cake consultation for £50, which covers design discussions, flavour tastings and portion planning.

The consultation fee is fully refundable upon purchasing the wedding cake.
